NEWS | MICHELLE ESKOLA AND ELIZABETH WILLING FEATURED IN ‘LESS’ AT THE LAUNDRY ARTSPACE

SGAR artists’ Michelle Eskola and Elizabeth Willing will be featured in Less opening at the Laundry Art Space 6pm Thursday March 24, 2016.

Less is a group exhibition that explores the commonalities and differences between ten early career Brisbane-based artists working within the field of post-minimalism. Traversing issues of affect, perception and beauty, as well as medium and art historical reference, the exhibition celebrates abstract post-minimal practice and aesthetics.

The exhibition was curated by Lisa Bryan-Brown who has previously written catalogue essays for SGAR including Megan Cope’s Twice Removed (2014) and Elizabeth Willing’s Between Courses (2015).

Both Elizabeth Willing and Michelle Eskola had solo exhibitions at SGAR in 2015.  Their work will be featured alongside works by Helen Bird, Courtney Coombs, Loki Groves, Madeleine Keinonen, Zoe Knight, Angelica Roache-Wilson, Mathew Sneesby and Rachael Wellisch.
