NEWS | CHANTAL FRASER | THE IMPRESSION OF OUR ARTERIES
SGAR artist CHANTAL FRASER will exhibit a newly commissioned video work for the group exhibition The Impression of our Arteries at Woolloongabba Art Gallery. Curated by Debra Porch and featuring the work of fifteen female artists, The Impression of our Arteries attempts to capture the intersection between physiology and emotion. Porch says ‘it reflects the circulatory patterns between those one loves, and the feelings, senses, intuition, perception, influence and the impressions that are formed from these bonds’.
The exhibition will feature the work of Caitlin Franzmann, Sonya G. Peters, Robyn Daw, Ali Bezer, Jay Younger, Julie-Anne Milinski, Debra Porch, Mona Ryder, Sophie Bottomley, Elizabeth Shaw, Kat Sawyer, Chantal Fraser, Leena Riethmuller, Carol McGregor, and Victoria (Tor) Maclean.
The exhibition will open on Saturday 11 March and discussions by the artists will take place on Saturday 18 March. The exhibition will be opened by Kim Machan of MAAP.
