Project Description

MADELEINE KEINONEN

Madeleine Keinonen’s intricate pieces interrogate perceptions of the external self. Working with deconstructed self-portraits she explores the fragmented body, often using repetition and pattern as conduits for contemplation and confusion. Carefully concealing and revealing segments of images, Keinonen’s constructions both invite and obscure suggestions of identification and narrative.
