ALICE NELSON 2017-05-09T02:24:18+00:00

Project Description

Alice Nelson is a Northern New South Wales based visual artist whose experimental painting practice innovatively incorporates resin, inks and pigments. Inspired by astrophotographic imagery, Nelson’s imagined universes pulse with depth and speak to the infinite and unknowable nature of space. Each floating circular work is a portal offering a glimpse into a far-off star system.

Nelson holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Queensland College of Art (2016) and a Bachelor of Creative Arts from Australian Catholic University (2011). She has participated in group exhibitions {Drawing A,B} at The Hold Artspace (2015), SHADE at The Princess Theatre (2015), and the RAW showcase at The Met (2015). Her work is held in the collections of the Australian Catholic University and Tweed Heads Hospital, as well as in private collections across Australia and the United States of America.
